Description

Bow to Stern Boating will perform one or more of the following services:

  1. Bow to Stern will remove all canvas, sails, and secure deck equipment by placing it below decks or lashing to the boat (boom, mast, or other structural part of the boat).  Sails and canvas may not be folded when placed below decks due to time constraints.  Business will take precautions as necessary, but shall not be responsible for broken zippers, torn canvas, cut or broken window material due to age or lack of exercise of items. (Item A requires a $50 one time prestorm inspection for canvas, lines, chaffing gear, and other equipment that is to be removed and secured.  All other work billed at $50/hr)
  2. Bow to Stern will secure boat in current slip. Vessels MUST be allowed, according to the Marina Rules, to stay in the slip during a storm.   (Item B requires a $50 one time prestorm inspection for lines, chaffing gear, and slip specific information.  All other work billed at $50/hr)
  3. Bow to Stern will deliver the boat to the marina of your choice and secure the boat in a reserved slip.  Customer shall be responsible for making all necessary slip arrangements with the marina to which the boat is being delivered.  (Item C requires a $50 one time prestorm inspection for proof of mobility and engine procedures, as well as inspection for lines, chaffing gear, and slip specific information.  All other work billed at $50/hr)
  4. Bow to Stern will deliver the boat to a boatyard and pass responsibility to the yard for haul out. Customer shall be responsible for making all necessary arrangements with the marina to which the boat is being delivered for haul. (Item D requires a $50 one time prestorm inspection for proof of mobility and engine procedures, as well as yard specific information.  All other work billed at $50/hr)
  5. Bow to Stern will anchor the boat in Green’s Creek or Smith Creek if the boat can fit under the Oriental Bridge.  If the boat cannot fit under the bridge, Business will anchor the boat in South River. (Item E requires a $150 one time prestorm inspection for proof of mobility and engine procedures, as well as inspection for lines, chaffing gear, and ground tackle.  All other work billed at $50/hr)
  6. After storm, when safe and in the confines of a reasonable work schedule, Bow to Stern will return boat to its pre-storm location or other designated location in the event that the marina/slip is inaccessible.  Customer to determine the location. (Billed at $50/hr)
  7. After storm, when safe and in the confines of a reasonable work schedule Bow to Stern will re-install sails, canvas and other equipment that was removed. (Billed at $50/hr)

If you are choosing items C or D, we highly recommend you also choose E as a backup as we will not be able to add anchoring as an option at the last munite.

You will be asked to complete an extensive questionnaire that will help us better prepare your vessel according to your plan.  Please include ALL known information including information as to anchoring and other items with anchoring.  This is in the event that your plan for the boat to be in a slip or on the hard falls through and the boat must be anchored.  If Anchoring as NOT an option, select "Do Not Anchor - I will find another alternative" in the Preferred Anchor Location question.  You can fill in NA on any question that does not apply to your situation.

Estimated Time of Arrival
We will start storm preparations once a storm track takes it over our area. We will prepare the boats early and will move them as late as safely possible that works in the overall storm schedule.
Where to Go....
Safe and Approved Dock, On the Hard, or Out to an Anchorage.
What to Bring...
With this program, we will have all preparations complete ahead of time and all you will need to to is hope the storm passes by without damage. (If your boat is not being anchored, you will be responsible for securing dock space or haul out space.)
Payment Policy
You may cancel or decide at the time of a storm to deny any further services. Note: If you decide to deny services at the start of a storm's preparation Bow to Stern will NOT restart services for said storm. Bow to Stern will bill for any time spent on the vessel prior to the stopping of services. Any cancellation must be made via email and confirmed by phone as during this time we will be very busy and will not be monitoring emails during the day.
